METOSA Group and its commitment to social responsibility in Aragon.
The Social Responsibility Board of Aragon presented, on December 1, the RSA Seals for 2023 and Metalúrgica Torrent, S.A. in its commitment to the principles of this Plan, has been one of the SMEs that has obtained the renewal of this hallmark.
The Government of Aragon through the Aragonese Development Institute, together with CEOE Aragon, CEPYME Aragon, UGT Aragon and CC.OO Aragon signed in November 2015 the implementation of the Social Responsibility Plan of Aragon, with the aim of promoting Business and Corporate Social Responsibility among the self-employed, enterprises and all types of public and private organizations in the Autonomous Community of Aragon, so that they implement and apply socially responsible practices.
The Social Responsibility Plan has been created on the basis of principles to which the participants must be committed in order to improve the society with which they interact:
A socially responsible company is one that goes beyond legal requirements, that applies transparency in its management and voluntarily integrates responsible initiatives and practices with a clear ethical, social and environmental commitment…..
This corporate commitment results in great benefits for the participating companies, from an improvement in their image and reputation to a greater potential for innovation.
Organizations that follow the Plan’s guidelines and complete the required training become involved in enhancing the society with which they interact in areas such as the environment, health, employability and sustainable development. In addition, this engagement results in added value for employees and improved productivity, resulting in increased potential for innovation and long-term business sustainability.
All participants must follow a process of diagnosis, declaration of commitment and training, in which the Principles of Social Responsibility are introduced. The process is fully transparent and both the lists and the content of the self-diagnoses are available on the website of the Aragón Empresa program of the Instituto Aragonés de Fomento.

When in 2021 METOSA Group engaged, for the first time, with the Aragon Responsibility Plan, we established some commitments in accordance with the principles set by the RSA table for the SME sector.
